Our committees follow the National Main Street approach, which include all aspects of a successful program: business development, design, promotion, and organization. Below you will find descriptions of each committee, their goals, and ongoing projects.
Tasked with educating the public about Main Street, recruiting and recognizing other volunteers, and spearheading fundraising events.
The Organization Committee’s goal is to develop and sustain a well managed, volunteer-driven organization with sufficient funds and resources to achieve vision.
Tasked with participating and creating business promotional or social events and projects that attract locals, visitors, and potential investors to Main Street.
The Promotion Committee’s goal is to engage business and community members in marketing and creating events to promote the historic core from Hwy 30 to the riverfront as the heart and soul of St. Helens.
Tasked with enhancing the physical appearance of the business districts.
The Design Committee’s goal is to enhance the historic core to create an inviting, pedestrian-friendly experience consistent with St. Helens’ unique character.
Tasked with promoting activities that assess and invigorate the economic health of St. Helens’ Main Street communities.
The Business Development Committee’s goal is to strengthen existing businesses and encourage entrepreneurial spirit to enhance the St. Helens’ economy.
