Business Plan Development

This is a free course on how to create a business plan and test viability of your idea before launch. Whether you are just at ideation phase, or if you have already written most of your business plan; this class will be of value.

Each class is an hour long and will focus on various aspects of running a business and creating a viable business plan. By attending you will get an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and will have a chance to hear from people who are out there running their own businesses now.

**This is the required course to participate in SHEDCO’s Business Plan Competition. **

Business Plan Competition

The Business Plan Competition that was so successful 3 years ago is back and we want you to participate!

SHEDCO is giving away $25,000 in grant / zero interest loan mix to a new or expanding business in Saint Helens.

This program starts with an 8 session course on building a business plan. It helps you think of everything from cost of goods through to how to market your product offering. Even if you don’t want to compete, these free classes are great when it comes to learning what it takes to launch a business!

At the end of February all completed ideas will be rated and the top 3-5 will be invited to participate in a Shark Tank style competition to be held at Columbia River Receptions & Events at Meriwether Place in March.

A HUGE thank you to Wauna Federal Credit Union and Columbia River PUD for their support in this project!

**Attendance at 75% of the classes is required to compete for the final prize.** If the times or transportation is an issue a WebEx option is offered for most classes.
